Blame it on Human Nature?
Firstly, I should mention that pesky mosquitoes can carry West Nile fever and malaria! Let's face it, mosquitoes are a threat to humanity!
I just read a story on Yahoo! NEWS about how mosquitoes (mostly the mosquito larvae) are camping out on tourist boats (and planes) until they get to the Galapagos Islands where they wreak havoc on the native Galapagos species.
Well now we've got to fix this problem! My solution for mosquito larvae has always been goldfish. For this much larger mosquito larvae problem I think that we need a much bigger solution!
What do you think?
If you want to read the story for yourself, here is the link :
This sort of thing reminds me, how much of an impact that I can have on the planet (whether it be good or bad).

Earth Day - Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Hi there,
First of all,
First of all,
Happy Earth Day!
There are many things that you can do to help the Planet Earth to thrive. Here is a list including a few of them :
* Plant a Tree! (or more than one!)
* Learn about Composting
* Teach your Loved Ones about The Environment and Caring for The Planet
* Create, grow and plant : Vegetable and Herb Gardens, Fruit/Nut Trees, Berries, etc.
* Use Organic Fertilizers
* Stop using Pesticides
I am going to do a few things for the environment this Earth Day including :
* Planting 5 trees in my yard (I love to breath fresh oxygen!)
* Planting and growing green onions, thyme and greens. (Yummy organic food!)
* Learning how I can make my yard more Earth Friendly (I do this daily)
* Learning how I can be more Eco Friendly (I do this daily)
* Building a compost Pile and a Compost Bin (I have been building these for a few days now and they will be finished on Earth Day!)
These leaves are growing on my grapevine that is over 15 years old!
I will be planting at least 3 more artichoke plants this year.
I just love eating artichokes with garlic butter.

If you get bored easily, here are some ideas that might keep you busy :
