How to Celebrate and Observe Earth Hour


The next Earth Hour is Saturday, March 28, 2010 at 8:30 pm, local time. To observe Earth Hour and to celebrate it, might be a fun thing. However everyday you should respect the Earth and take steps to care for, clean up and nurture it.


Step 1

Join the global sustainability movement! Participate in Earth Hour along with over 64 countries and territories!


Step 2

On the day of : Saturday, March 28, 2010 at 8:30 pm, local time.

Turn off all of your lights that you don't need for an hour.


Step 3

Unplug any extra electronic equipment that you aren't using to save even more electrical power.


Step 4

Use flashlights to see if needed, especially it gets too dark.


Step 5

Use candles if needed and only if responsible adults are present!


Step 6

If you get bored easily, here are some ideas that might keep you busy :

* Spend some kind of quality family time.

* Tell stories or play board and card games.

* Eat special, healthy and/or home made snacks.

* Make s'mores if you want.
